Overwhelmingly positive consumer feedback prompts Jack’s Family Restaurants to make permanent menu change

Driven by community commitment, Jack’s New Homestyle Bun to become a menu mainstay

BIRMINGHAM (July 6, 2022)Jack’s Family Restaurants (Jack’s), a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) network headquartered in Birmingham and boasting more than 220 locations across Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Mississippi, announced today that its New Homestyle Bun, first introduced in May, will now become a permanent menu fixture based on overwhelmingly positive consumer-driven survey feedback.

This decision was based on thousands of responses submitted through an elective and anonymous survey launched via Jack’s website and promoted to consumers with print and digital QR codes. Overwhelmingly positive responses – specifically regarding preference of the New Homestyle Bun over the bun previously used, as well as overall satisfaction with the New Homestyle Bun – pointed Jack’s leadership in a permanent direction, which the company says reflects its community-focused mission.

“We have long been committed to bringing great handmade food to the communities and families that we serve, and we’ve taken that love of community and of old-fashioned consumer feedback to ensure we make the right decisions,” said Jack’s Family Restaurants CEO Todd Bartmess. “We make it a point to listen to our guests and to continually look for ways to make our food the most craved in the south.”

Additionally, the survey allowed participants to provide comments and written feedback to enhance understanding of overall consumer sentiment. Feedback such as, “I don’t know how you did it, but you just made the greatest burger out there a little better,” “It is better than the one before,” and “I think the new bun takes a Jack’s burger to next-level fast food,” further enhanced statistical data that informed the overall business decision.

“This permanent change demonstrates our commitment to constantly improving our menu,” added Jack’s Family Restaurants CMO Billie Jo Waara. “One guest said it simply, ‘Keep the Homestyle Buns.’ Our success depends on listening to our guests, that is just what we plan to do.”

This announcement comes as Jack’s launches its newest promotion highlighted by the Big Jack Trio which offers the Original Big Jack, Spicy Big Jack and Bacon Ranch Big Jack. All three hamburgers will feature their New Homestyle Buns. Customers can dine in or place their order for pick up at eatatjacks.com or on the app.
