Jack’s Brings Back Southern Fried Catfish for a Limited Time
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 29, 2026) – Jack’s Family Restaurants (Jack’s) is bringing back its golden fried Catfish Basket to all locations July 1 through Aug. 18, giving guests another chance to enjoy a crispy, flaky favorite from the brand known for serving the flavors of the South.
The Catfish Basket features three strips of U.S. farm raised catfish served with one classic side and a made-from-scratch biscuit. The limited time offering returns with the same craveable flavor, signature seasoning and house-made tartar sauce that guests enjoyed during its first launch earlier this year.
“When Jack’s introduced catfish back in February, guests reeled it in fast and made it clear they wanted more,” said Billie Jo Waara, CMO of Jack’s Family Restaurants. “We listened, and this time, we’re bringing it back with help from someone who knows a thing or two about this Southern staple.”
To celebrate the return, Jack’s partnered with social media personality Alyssa Hall, known online as @alyfromalabama. For Hall, a professional catfish noodler, the partnership brings together two longtime favorites: Jack’s and catfish.
“Jack’s has genuinely been part of my life for as long as I can remember,” Hall said. “I grew up in a small town in Alabama, and Jack’s wasn’t just a restaurant. It was a gathering place and a part of our community.”
To Hall, the basket delivers on the details that matter to catfish fans, from the breading to the first bite.
“As an avid noodler, I’ve spent plenty of time in the water chasing catfish, and I’ve cleaned and cooked more than my fair share over the years,” Hall said. “When you’ve done that, you develop a strong opinion about what good catfish should taste like. Jack’s got it right. And if a catfish loving noodler approves, that’s saying something!”
The Catfish Basket will be available at all Jack’s locations July 1 through Aug. 18, while supplies last. The promotion is available in-store, online or through Jack’s All About Rewards app.
