Jack’s Celebrates 65 Years of Southern Tradition

All Locations Offering $1 Hamburgers November 18, 2 PM Until Close

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Nov. 13, 2025) Jack’s Family Restaurants (Jack’s) celebrates 65 years of growth rooted in its commitment to community and Southern pride. What began as a small walk-up hamburger stand in Homewood, Alabama, has grown into a regional icon with more than 275 locations across the Southeast. To mark this milestone, all Jack’s locations will offer $1 hamburgers on Tuesday, November 18, from 2 p.m. until close (limit five per order).

This anniversary reflects how a humble local burger spot became a beloved regional name by staying true to its roots. Founded in 1960, Jack’s has grown right alongside the communities it serves. Through six decades of change, one thing has remained: the Southern spirit that takes pride in doing things the right way, from scratch-made biscuits to hand-breaded chicken made with care and tradition at every Jack’s location.

“Jack’s was built by the same values that make the South special: hard work, love for our neighbors and pride in what we do,” said Todd Bartmess, CEO of Jack’s Family Restaurants. “This celebration is a thank you to every guest, team member and community that’s kept that spirit alive for 65 years.”

Sixty-five years later, Jack’s continues to expand its menu of Southern favorites, has earned the title of Official Biscuit of the South, launched its own nonprofit (Jack’s Family Fund) and remains deeply involved in the communities it serves through local partnerships and give-back efforts. This anniversary honors 65 years of serving the teams after practice, the early risers grabbing a biscuit on their way to work and the families coming together for Sunday dinner after church. As Jack’s grows, it stays true to the South and the people who have always been at its heart.
