Jack’s Brings Southern Fish Fry To The Drive-thru With New Menu Item

Limited-time $6.49 Catfish Basket draws on Southern tradition while serving up everyday convenience

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Feb. 18, 2026) – Jack’s Family Restaurants (Jack’s) announced today the launch of its Southern fried Catfish Basket, available for $6.49 from Feb. 18 through March 31. The limited-time offer includes three catfish strips served with a classic side and a made-from-scratch biscuit, available at all Jack’s locations.

In the South, a fish fry is more than a meal. It is a community gathering, marked by the steady hum of conversation, lawn chairs pulled close and neighbors lining up for a plate served fresh from the fryer. Fried catfish has long anchored those gatherings, standing as an everyday staple across Southern communities. Jack’s developed its Catfish Basket to reflect those roots, offering the familiar flavors of a beloved tradition without the prep work at home.

“Catfish has always been part of life in the South,” said Dana Taylor, CEO of Jack’s Family Restaurants. “We saw an opportunity to make that tradition easier to enjoy, whether guests are dining in for lunch, picking up dinner for the family or grabbing a quick meal on the go.”

In addition to the basket, guests can order Southern fried catfish as a sandwich or as a Catfish Dinner served with two sides and a scratch-made biscuit.

Catfish will be available at all Jack’s locations through March 31.
