JACK’S FAMILY RESTAURANTS LAUNCHES FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT THOSE AFFECTED BY COVID-19
Jack’s Family Fund joins with partners, vendors to match donations in each community it serves

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 25, 2020) – Beginning today, Jack’s local restaurants are asking guests to join their efforts in raising funds to support local organizations and families in crisis as a result of COVID-19. Through the brand’s 501(c)(3) foundation, the Jack’s Family Fund, guests are invited to make a donation with every order.

Jack’s has partnered with several local media affiliates, Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Mayfield Dairy Farms, The University of Alabama, Lamar Advertising Company and THINC Advertising to assist in their efforts through grants, in-kind support and other financial donations.

“At Jack’s we have always focused on supporting our communities in meaningful ways, especially in times of need, and we want to make sure no one goes without during this unprecedented time,” said Jack’s CEO Todd Bartmess. “In the South, we take care of each other and appreciate that our partners and vendors share this vision and are committed to helping those who are hardest hit by COVID-19.”

Throughout its 60-year history, Jack’s Family Restaurants has supported its local communities by giving back, whether by donating food to local schools, hosting fundraisers or partnering with local organizations to serve those in need.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

Hello Jack’s family,

You — the people who make up the Jack’s community — are the heart of everything we do. Today, I wanted to reach out to all of you that depend on Jack’s for amazing food, service, and cleanliness. During this unprecedented time in our country, Jack’s is focused on making sure our restaurants continue to be a refuge from the storm. We are working hard to stop the spread of the virus in our communities and vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock in the communities that we call home.

Here are some of the things that we are doing:
  • Managers and teams at our 179 locations are well trained and are redoubling their efforts to ensure that restaurant cleanliness is a top priority. We maintain a comprehensive approach to cleanliness in our restaurants including sanitizing high traffic areas, tables, restrooms, door handles, drink stations, and keypads.
  • Reinforcing our already-stringent health and food safety protocols. This includes procedures around frequent, proper handwashing and glove use.
  • We are making sure that nobody works in our restaurants while sick. We are also committed to ensuring that any employee who contracts COVID-19 will be paid.
  • We are vigilantly staying up-to-date with recommendations from the CDC and local health departments so that we can keep our employees and guests safe

    Your health and safety is our top priority. Our mission of serving quality handmade food and Southern hospitality from our family to your family remains firmly intact and helps guide us in times like this. At this time, our dining rooms are closed, but our drive-thrus remain open and ready to serve you. And you can count on us to keep you informed as new information becomes available.
