Jack’s Marks Historic Leadership Change With Appointment of Dana Taylor as CEO

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Dec. 17, 2025) – Jack’s Family Restaurants announced today that Todd Bartmess, who has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2015, will transition to Executive Chairman of the Board effective December 17. The company has appointed Dana Taylor, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, as its next CEO.

Taylor steps into the role after leading key operational, cultural and growth initiatives across the brand. As President and COO, she has helped position Jack’s for continued expansion. Her appointment marks a historic milestone for Jack’s, as she becomes the company’s first woman to serve as CEO.

Bartmess has led Jack’s through significant transformation during his decade-long tenure. Under his leadership, the company grew from 125 restaurants to almost 300 locations and increased systemwide sales from approximately $230 million to $600 million.

“Leading Jack’s has been the honor of my career, and I could not be prouder of what this team has achieved together,” Bartmess said in a statement. “We’ve grown our footprint, strengthened our brand and developed extraordinary leaders at every level. Dana is an exceptional partner who understands both the heart and the ambition of Jack’s. She brings a proven record of building strong teams, delivering results and caring deeply about the people and culture of this Southern company.”

As CEO, Taylor will focus on advancing Jack’s growth strategy, including new store development, enhanced technology investment, community engagement and continued development of team members.

“Jack’s is a remarkable brand with a passionate team and a bright future,” Taylor said. “Todd’s leadership has laid an incredible foundation, and I am honored to carry our mission forward while ensuring Jack’s remains the most beloved QSR brand in the South for generations to come.”
