Wear a White Ribbon to Raise Awareness of Adoption

Jack’s Family Restaurants helps draw awareness to 6,000 Ala. children in foster care with ribbon campaign Oct. 14 – 20

Jack’s Family Restaurants’ corporate giving arm, Jack’s Family Fund, is raising awareness of the need for adoption in Alabama while celebrating those who have contributed to the cause. Currently, more than 6,000 children in Alabama are living in foster care.

Adoption is recognized by a white ribbon. Jack’s is asking area media to wear white ribbons in support of the cause and to help bring attention to the efforts taking place across the South during the final week of this year’s fundraising campaign.

This initiative ties to Jack’s current local fundraising campaign in partnership with Alabama-based Kids to Love Foundation to raise money in an effort to meet their ultimate goal — finding “forever families” for children who are waiting to be adopted.

For nearly 10 years, Jack’s Family Restaurants has supported nonprofit Kids to Love in philanthropic efforts as part of their mission to make corporate giving a permanent part of their business. Since 2004, the Kids to Love Foundation has directly impacted the lives of more than 225,000 foster children.

In this first week of the three-week long 2020 fundraising campaign to benefit Kids to Love, the Jack’s Family Fund has raised over $60,000. Through October 20, 2020, Jack’s local restaurants are asking guests to join their efforts in raising funds for Kids to Love. Donations can be made in-person at any Jack’s restaurant, or online at www.eatatjacks.com/givesback. Guests may also text “K2L” to (202) 858-1233 to participate.
