AUBURN AND JACK’S™ GROWING TOGETHER JACK’S™
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jack’s grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting for Auburn’s newest restaurant located at 1645 South College Street will take place Thurs., Jan. 24. Lunch will be served at noon, and the ribbon cutting will follow at 1 p.m.
Among those present at lunch will be Mayor Bill Ham. City Council members are all expected to attend.
“We are extremely thrilled about opening this location in Auburn,” said Benny LaRussa, CEO and owner of Jack’s. “We are a family and community‐oriented fast food chain and are excited about becoming a part of the Auburn family.”
The Auburn store officially opened earlier this month, and Jack’s Area Manager Danny Hamrick said the reaction has been terrific.
“We are located about a mile and a half from the university and serve great quality food. Our breakfast is second to none and we have the best chicken fingers in town. We are also very reasonably priced. It’s a win-win for college kids and the entire community,” Hamrick said.
The Auburn location follows a similar model for Jack’s, which has many locations around large student populations, including locations near The University of Alabama and Birmingham Southern, as well as locations near most high schools and 2-year colleges.
The Auburn restaurant is a standard Jack’s store with a drive‐thru. The restaurant can seat up to 85 people and is handicap accessible. Hours of operation for the store will be Mon. through Thurs. 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fri. and Sat. 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The store will open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. on Sundays. Serena Gamel will be the store manager.
Jack’s features a wide range of menu items which include its signature sandwich: the “BIG JACK”, fried chicken, hamburgers, salads, delicious milkshakes and the award‐winning, made-from-scratch, buttermilk biscuits on the breakfast menu.
