Children's of Alabama and Jack's launch second annual campaign to fight Juvenile Diabetes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jack’s and Children’s of Alabama announced today a renewed partnership to raise funds for juvenile diabetes by inviting statewide communities to purchase paper icons for $1 at Jack’s restaurants throughout the region August 4-30. The second annual targeted campaign will support ill and injured children at Alabama’s only hospital dedicated solely to the treatment of children through specialized medical care. More

Jack’s Aims To Raise $1 Million For Muscular Dystrophy Association

Jack’s is making its own luck again this year by raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of Greater Alabama’s Shamrocks Against Dystrophy Campaign. Over the past 17 years, Jack’s has raised more than $866,000 for MDA. This year, the company hopes to raise the remaining $133,000 to reach the $1 million mark to support MDA’s fight against muscular dystrophy and related diseases, including its programs of research, services, advocacy and education. Parrish Veteran Receives Medals and Bronze Stars at Jack's

William McBee of Parrish, center, was presented a service medal and three bronze stars he earned during his service in the Korean War. Paul Housel, a representative from U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt's office, at right, and Alabama State Rep. Richard Baughn, at left, made the presentation. The presentation was held at Jack's restaurant in Parrish at McBee's request to hold the ceremony with his friends and family.
